To achieve these results, create a large teardropshaped section on top of the head with the point facing the hairline. Clip and secure. Then, starting at the side hairline, take vertical sub-sections and backcomb from the scalp to the mid-lengths. Apply Formula A (2 scoops of Light Master + 1-1/2 oz. 20-volume Matrix Cream Developer) to mid-lengths and ends, using a sidebrushing technique. 2 Lay another foil on top. Continue until you reach the back of the ear. Repeat on the other side. 3 Next, using Formula A, balayage the fringe section. Process until you reach desired lightness (a level 6 dark orange underlying pigment). Rinse thoroughly and dry hair completely. 4 Mix Formula B: 2 oz. COLORINSIDER 5WM (5.38) + 2 oz. 20-volume COLORINSIDER Oil Cream Developer. Apply to the scalp and up to the pre-lightened mid-lengths and ends. 5 Mix Formula C: 1 oz.
