Chad Demchuk, who was named NAHA Colorist of the Year in 2012 and works at
Amelia Paris Salon in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, is a big fan of the 1997 sci-f flm The
Fifth Element (anyone remember the crazy hair color?), which inspired the intense
color palette he created with Joico Color Intensity, Vero K-PAK Color and Vero
K-PAK Chrome. "The haircut always dictates color placement," says Demchuk, who
kept his placements close together so the color would blend and marry when the
hair moved one way and be bold and intoxicating when it shifted in another direction.
