Los Angeles-based stylist Maryam Khan of Diva Beauty Salon and her mother
were given the experience of a lifetime when Khan received news that she'd
won the Matrix "Imagining a New Store Experience" sweepstakes. The
program, which was rolled out in Salon Centric stores, was designed to bring
Biolage and Total Results products alive and included the chance to win an
all-expense-paid trip to New York to spend the day with Matrix Artistic Director
and NAHA winner Nicholas French. Both mother and daughter were driven
by limo to French's lovely home in the Hamptons, where he shared stories
about his long career creating some of the industry's most iconic hair imagery
plus insider tips and tricks. "Here we were spending time with a guy I always
worshipped," says Khan. "Looking back, it almost seems like a dream."
