Rachel Boston plays Ingrid
Beauchamp (she and her
sister have no idea that they're
powerful and immortal witches)
in Lifetime's Witches of East End,
but there's nothing supernatural
about her hair color. "Her hair
is supposed to look like she
doesn't go to the salon, but she
still needs to have a bit of natural
glamour," says Marie Ferro,
owner of Marie's Hair Studio in
Malibu, California, who used
Goldwell to create a color palette
that looks like the sun painted
in some highlights. Her trick?
Placing foils in diagonally through
the top of the head, varying the
size of the pieces so as not to
create a specifc pattern. After
adding highlights and lowlights
to all-over color, Ferro glazed
the hair with Elumen.

GOLDIE ROCKS Braids have been on trend for
quite a while now, but Sam Villa and colorist Geneva
Cowen have found a way to take the trend to a whole
other level. Using Redken Shades EQ (one-ounce
07CB, ½-ounce 09G and ½-ounce 09 AA), Cowen
created a strawberry blonde shade that considerably
ups the wow factor.
