Organic Salon Systems Creative Consultant and Educator Jennifer Andrews created this gorgeous brunette shade for fall exclusively for us. Formula 1 (¾-oz. DXAH (Dark Extra Ash Additive), 1.5oz. 4AH (Ash) and 10-volume developer) was applied to the base three-inches out. Formula 2 (1.5.oz. 4MO and ¾-oz. 5GD with 10-volume developer) was applied to the midshaft and ends. How thorough is your salons consultation process? Is it a quick three-minute chat or a detailed intentional procedure? In a survey I conducted, the number one reason a client leaves a salon is lack of communication. I'm inclined to think that it's really a lack of consultation. What we need to do is improve the way we communicate and process information. Providing a questionnaire for a client to fill out is essential in order to learn about a client's hair service history. We need to know what they like and what they don't like, what worked and what didn't work.
