After beauty school and a stint at a small salon on Manhattan's Upper East Side, Ferrara landed a position at Christo NYC, where she's become adept at formulating color for curly hair. The secret? Pre-softening the hair with a conditioning treatment before the service and following up with deep conditioning mask. colorist for Matrix. "Hair color is my passion," says Bell, who works at Park Avenue Hair Company in Fountain Hills, Arizona. "Being able to transform someone in such an artistic way is so fascinating to me." Because she lives in Arizona, she goes to great lengths to educate her clients about maintaining their color at home and protecting it from the sun's damaging rays. ➻ gina karpenko { ALOXXI } ; is Creative Advisor for Aloxxi where she shares her knowledge of color theory and application. "I absolutely love the problem-solving aspect of corrective coloring," she says. "I also love the fact that color has so much power over our emotions." While in beauty school, Misseri discovered that the more profcient he became in haircutting, the more he understood color placement.
