For the past three years, the 24-year- old colorist has worked as an assistant at Marie Robinson Salon in New York City where he has shown great promise. One of his early mentors was iconic colorist Brad Johns, who encouraged him to go to beauty school. "Brad told me that hair color is an art, but unlike a painting or a poem that is fi nished, hair color is fl eeting—it grows and fades and ages," Eisenlohr says. "In that respect, it's unique." Johns was also the person who encouraged Eisenlohr to ask Marie Robinson for a job. "I went right in wearing shorts and a fl annel shirt and asked for a job. Brad gave me the courage to do that," says Eisenlohr, whom Johns believes has what it takes to become a great colorist: an innate artistic eye and detail for color. chalk it up Nicole Richie revealed on Live! with Kelly and Michael that her six-year- old daughter Harlow "chalked" her hair blue recently.
