PHOTOGRAPHY (FROM TOP): MELISSA HANSEN; COURTESY OF MARCO PELUSI The United Kingdom's Sanrizz Artistic Team embellished this graphic cut with a touch of pale pink crowning an icy blonde hue. The team achieved the effect by pre-lightening the hair using Wella Professionals Blondor 6%, then f nished by applying Pink Dream from the brand's new Instamatic by Color Touch line of pastel demi-permanent shades, which delivers a diffused color f nish with muted shine. "We deposited the pastel hue by working with our signature free-hand batik technique, delivering an overexposed, mottled result," says Sharon Cox, Sanrizz education and color director, London. MARCO PELUSI, Aloxxi celebrity colorist, has been freshening up dull ombré colors lately at his West Hollywood, CA, salon with a splash of red, dubbing the trend "Rombré." To get the look, he applies a vibrant red from the Aloxxi Tones R series, mixed with Tones developer, on top of pre-existing ombré highlights. "T is is an easy change to haircolor that's been highlighted in the same fashion for a long time that won't further compromise the integrity of the hair," Pelusi says. "A red demi-color will provide shine and sheen, and since it's only demi-color, it's also low-commitment, as it will gradually fade, allowing you to do something diff erent next time."
