Put your salon on the map! Drop us a line and let us know what your salon is up to. > labrams@creativeage.com Salon Heavener LAGUNA HILLS, CA Owned and operated by husband and wife team Connie and Mark Heavener, Salon Heavener has been recognized by the local press as a top salon since opening in 2002. One of the key draws for the salon's loyal clientele? Color services utilizing OYA hair color, especially color melts, balayage and ombrés with a beachy, lived-in, textured look. "We're a beach city, so platinum blonding and using various toners to create subtle tonality changes is very popular and requested here," Mark says. "Whether we're using f lm or foil, the typical Barbie highlights are passé. What's trending are seamless color melts offering just the right pop of balayage." Avalon Salon BEND, OR Avalon Salon, founded in Klamath Falls, OR, has opened a second location in Bend, OR's Old Mill District, a distinctive mixed- use development located on 270 acres that formerly housed one of the largest sawmill operations in the world. When it comes to color, the full-service Aveda Lifestyle Salon, owned by Drake and Kelly Evinger, specializes in creating customized formulas for their environmentally conscious clients. "T is summer, our colorists are creating a lot of incredible multidimensional, natural-looking blondes through detailed heavy foil-weaving and balayage," Drake says. "But honestly, we can do it all. It's all about making our guests' hair color dreams come true." Bond Beauty MOORESVILLE, NC Bond Beauty's color business recently got a boost when the salon started offering L'Oréal Professionnel's new DIA Express Services: a menu of f ve easy services using DIA Light and DIA Richesse demi-permanent color that take 20 minutes or less and are well-suited to clients who are interested in trying hair color without making a serious commitment. "The new service menu is a great way to focus on offering full color service to each and every guest," says Suzie Bond, Bond Beauty master stylist and CEO. "By incorporating a questioning path during the consultation, we are better able to upgrade more guests into new color services, which adds to the service provider's income while generating more traff c for the business." Color services range from Wipeout White, for covering barely- there whites with DIA Richesse, to Set the Tone, an application of DIA Light Milkshake shades following the lightening process.
