"I bring an authentic, helpful approach to hair color so women can properly care for their color-treated hair at home," says Pelusi, who loves sharing his knowledge with everyone from consumers or other hairdressers (he's been off ering workshops at IBS New York and Las Vegas for the past six years). "My professional mantra is to maintain the integrity of the hair," says Pelusi, who relies on Aloxxi to help him do just that. beach boy Raised in East Los Angeles, colorist Johnny Ramirez is a specialist in "California hair:" subtle, versatile and beachy. With a list of celebrity clients a mile long, Ramirez opened Ramirez Tran Salon with business partner Ahn Co Tran in Beverly Hills in 2013. He also has a labor-intensive way of highlighting that involves backcombing so the client "looks like Medusa" before painting color onto the hair. "I bleach the tips or pieces I want to be bright and blend everything with color," says Ramirez, who admits it's a mess when you take the foils out but claims his technique replicates a child's hair color. Now here's a brunette to fall for this season: a rich, scrumptious shade of chocolate brown with cherry accents that adds the wow factor to Charlie Price's chic, updated shag haircut. NEW DIGS T is past spring celebrity colorist Brad Johns opened "brad johns color studio" at Samuel Shriqui Salon on Manhattan's Upper East Side where he will continue to work his hair color magic on the most powerful women in New York. His philosophy is simple: Color should complement eye color fi rst, then the skin and fi nally the season. "All women are beautiful," says Johns. "I just provide the icing on the cake."
