Pantone—the go-to source of inspiration for many hair colorists—recently released the Fall 2017 Fashion Color Report highlighting the top hues seen on the runways in New York City and London. This season, both palettes featured warm and comforting classics, as well as refreshing and dynamic accent shades. In New York City, standouts included Grenadine, Autumn Maple, Ballet Slipper and Tawny Port, while in London, hues ranged from Flame Scarlet to Royal Lilac and Golden Olive. Navy Peony proved to be a mainstay this season in both palettes. Right on trend for fall, we found a few fashion-forward hair color looks that are perfectly in sync with Pantone's latest color report. This fi ery red look from renowned stylist and educator ALLEN EDWARDS , known as the "King of Reds," features a combination of dark and light red shades; we see hints of Pantone Grenadine 1 and Tawny Port 2 . Hairstylist and makeup artist CRYSTAL LOCKINOUR of The Color Suite Hair Salon in Clearwater, FL, achieved this multihued look using several shades from the Joico Color Intensity Metallic Muse collection. Among the different tones Lockinour used, we picked up Pantone Ballet Slipper 1 , Neutral Gray 2 and Royal Lilac 3 . 1 1 2 1 2 3 Goldwell national artist NICK PAGANO 's Subtropics look features a combination of warm and cool reds including Lava, Indian, Crimson and Chili Powder, accented by tones of Syrup and Marigold, with an overall effect evoking Pantone's tawny Autumn Maple 1 hue.
