➻ tyra davis j { PULP RIOT, REDKEN } ★ Career highlight: "My biggest accomplishment was my decision to open my own independent salon studio." ★ Skill set: "Color Shifting is my jam right now. I work with a lot of guests who want fashion colors, and that usually means that they want changes often. Using my knowledge of the color wheel, I can shift a client's hair color from one color to the next using direct dyes, which helps me achieve amazing results after removing color, or if lightening isn't an option." @goodhairvibes ➻ brittany newby l { EUFORA } ★ Career highlights: "In 2013, I moved to the United Kingdom to help set up and run a hairdressing academy. In two years, we were named a 'centre of excellence,' a top designation for the quality of hairdressers we were producing. During this time, I was also a member of the Eufora U.K. editorial team, which allowed me to expand my knowledge and skills." @brittanyhair1 ➻ carissa buhl f { SURFACE } ★ Early education: "When I was 14, I had the privilege of being introduced to the art of hair from my mentor, Kallie Kirby, a hairdresser in my hometown. Kallie came over every week for a year and taught me how to cut, color and style updos." ★ Career highlight: "I've been the creative force and hands behind two videos called 'Mountain Hair.' These videos are where my passions for hair and the mountains collide by upstyling in the mountains. The next step I want to take in these short fi lms is using Surface Pure Color and making a 'Mountain Hair' video featuring hair coloring in the wilderness." @carissabuhl_surfaceartist ➻ taylor rae k { PRAVANA } ★ Skill set: "I specialize in Vivids: mermaids, unicorns, rainbows—you name it!" ★ Color obsession: "My favorite trends of the moment are bright peach and coral tones." ★ Game plan: "My goals are to keep saying yes to any and every opportunity, and to continue to be inspired by everyone in this wonderful industry." @taylorrae_hair ➻ shannon keeley h { KEVIN.MURPHY } ★ Proudest accomplishment: "I was involved in a car accident that almost took my life. My life changed overnight, but my passion for hairstyling and color remained. While I was rehabilitating and unable to work, I spent hours building a vision, my brand, a blog and ultimately—House of Morris. Today, I can proudly say that I'm nearly fully booked and am learning and growing with this industry every day." @houseofmorris
