People are afraid of being humble.
I think that to be humble is a grand
quality, and I mean that with sincerity.

1996 when People magazine
named supermodel Kirsty Hume
one of its 50 Most Beautiful
People, creative genius John Sahag
was asked to do her hair for the
subsequent photo shoot. Santino
Aquista, who worked with Sahag
at his atelier on Madison Avenue in
New York City, came up with the
idea of coloring hair extensions and
adding them to Humes long blonde
hair. As usual, Sahag and his team
were ahead of the curve. Doesnt
this look seem eerily familiar?
Tink about the night Steven Tyler
sported feather hair extensions on
American Idol, sparking a trend that
took the country by storm. Helen
Oppenheim, who worked with Sahag
for four years, calls him a visionary
who never looked to the past for
inspiration. He was tomorrows
man, she says. Sadly, Sahag passed
away in 2005. Te good news is that
Oppenheim had archived his work.
